Summer Camp is Coming!

Once again this year we will have eight weeks of exciting and fun summer camp. Dr. D is our director and is hard at work on plans for a great summer, utilizing every part of our beautiful 22-acre campus. Water fun--sprinklers, water table, water toys, etc.--is a big part of each day, but we also play child-friendly sports, create arts and crafts, have story and song time, take nature walks, explore the outdoor classroom, and enjoy snack and lunch together. We begin on June 4th with a 4-week session, then take a break for the week of July 4th, resuming on July 9th for a second 4-week session. You may register for single weeks throughout the summer. Camp sessions are 8:30-12:30, but we will also offer a full-day option (8:30-3:30) if enough people request it. Join us for a great summer at CCEP!

BBC Night on the Town

Please join us at the Brandywine Brewing Company for our second annual “Night on the Town" on March 1st from 6 to 9 p.m. Parents, teachers, and board members will take turns guest bartending, with all tips going to benefit our Annual Fund. We will hold a raffle for an iPad! Tickets may be purchased ahead of time from Denise or on the night of the event.

Parenting Classes Continue through February 28

CCEP Parenting Classes

5 Classes are offered during January and February. Topics and dates are as follows:

January 24 Learning to Listen

January 31 Inviting Cooperation

February 7 Teaching Decision-Making and Problem Solving

February 21 Building Self-Confidence

February 28 Disciplining With Respect

Classes will be held in the Parish Center of Christ Church Christiana Hundred, 505 East Buck Road, Greenville, Delaware from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Registration costs: $100 per person for the series; $150 for couples

Registration for individual classes: $25 per person

We are proud to announce that we have earned our fourth Delaware Star! We had to meet many standards related to training, curriculum, family partnerships, and learning environment. The culmination of our hard work came when we received an Environment Rating Scales assessment on November 14^th. Our score allowed us to qualify for the third star in December and our fourth in January. Our teachers are to be commended for their hard work and perseverance, as these standards were not easy to meet. Thank you also, parents, for bearing with us as we initiated new routines related to hand-washing and other personal care routines. It paid off.

2012-2013 Application Deadline January 27, 2012

It is time to begin thinking about the 2012-2013 applications process and the upcoming re-enrollment process.

The application deadline for the 2012-2013 school year is January 27^th. All parts of the application, including a copy of the child’s birth certificate and the application fee, must be received by the deadline in order to be considered for the first round of admissions. Admissions notifications will be made by February 15^th.

Re-enrollment packets, including contracts and tuition rates for the 2012-2013 school year, will be mailed on January 6^th. Re-enrollment contracts and deposits will be due by January 27^th for all students. Your packets will include further instructions about how to complete the re-enrollment process.

When making enrollment decisions, priority is given, first, to current students, second, to siblings of CCEP students, then to children of parishioners and staff members, and finally, all other applicants, with consideration given to balanced classes and the date a complete application is received.

A need-based financial aid budget allows us to assist students who might not otherwise be able to attend CCEP. Applications may be found at www.sss.nais.org.
