Christ Church Episcopal Preschool educates young children, creates community among school, families, and church, and honors and nurtures children in the Episcopal tradition. We welcome children aged two to five in small classes where all are affirmed as children of God and are inspired and encouraged to become their best selves—socially, emotionally, academically and spiritually.

Parents’ Association Representatives

Julie Pike - Co-President

Julie’s connection to CCEP runs deep—she first walked through its doors as a preschooler herself, back when it was known as ‘Madame Layton’. Now, many years later, she’s back as both a parent and Co-President of the Parents’ Association. Julie and her husband, James, joined the CCEP family in 2023 when their son, Walker, entered the Doves class, just after they moved home to Wilmington from Boston. This year, Walker is excited to be in the Lambs class, and Julie is looking forward to another wonderful year in the CCEP community.

Kendall Drew Meldrum - Co-President

Kendall is thrilled to be serving as Co-President of the Parents’ Association this year. She and her husband, Sam, have a blended family of five children, with their youngest two, Genevieve and Fitz, joining the Lambs and Cherubs classes respectively. This marks Kendall’s second year involved with the Parents’ Association, where she’s passionate about building community and supporting the school’s mission through family engagement and collaboration.

Kelly Sheridan - Secretary

This is Kelly’s second year at CCEP. She and her husband, Chip, have a son and a daughter. Their oldest is JJ and will be in the Doves class. Their youngest, Morgan, will be in the Cherubs class.

Charlotte Anderson - Treasurer

This is Charlotte’s fourth year at CCEP and second year as PA treasurer. She and her husband, Derek, joined the CCEP community in 2022 when their oldest daughter entered the two year old class. Since then, their two oldest children have gone through CCEP. They are excited for their youngest, Heidi, to join the Cherubs beginner class this year.

Class Representatives

Each class at CCEP will have one or two designated Class Representatives, finalized by the end of September. Class Reps are an important link between families, teachers, and the Parents’ Association, helping to foster communication and strengthen our sense of community.

Responsibilities include:

● Coordinating one Teacher Appreciation Breakfast during the school year (funded by the Parents’ Association)

● Serving as a friendly point of contact for families—sharing updates, answering questions, and helping build connections within the class

If you’re interested in serving as a Class Rep, we’d love to have you! Please email us at CCEPparentsassociation@gmail.com to learn more or to express your interest.
